Why did you feel it was necessary to have your heroine do the stereotypical thing of getting married and then immediately pregnant? Why perpetuate that those are the only things girls should do?

  • 2

Why didnt Leah get any love in Breaking Dawn?
Seriously, it was like "Happily Ever After... Except for Leah."

  • 3

You are frequently compared to J.K. Rowling. How do you feel about these comparisons, and do you think you deserve them?

  • 4

Twilight lovers have made such a big buzz about Breaking Dawn since Eclipse came out, it almost feels like they forgot about The Host ( in my opinion the host is better than Twilight) do you think that is true?

  • 5

You've managed to spark the female mind to be insanely jealous of Bella Swan & Edward Cullen... did you ever imagine that it would take off like it has... that there would be crowds of girls literally swooning over your two fictional characters (me being of them ^_^ ) and that there would be people, everywhere, determining whether they were "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob".... it's amazing how you've sparked the minds of so many readers into WISHING/HOPING/DREAMING that this was their lives.... rather than this boring human one... You're great! & I can't wait to see what becomes of the movie & Midnight Sun!!!!!

How do you do it all? I am a housewife & a small business owner ,but aspire to finish a novel I began writing a few years ago after a powerful dream. I've already let go of the housecleaning...what next?

  • 7

Were you ever afraid that the fourth book would not live up to your fans expectations?

  • 8

I find that in Breaking Dawn there is much more gore and graphic description of killing than was present in any of the preceeding books. Do you feel you decided to go more explicit in this novel and why?

If the Cullens can buy human blood (and therefore presumably could obtain animal blood from animals who are already being killed for human food), why do they hunt at all?

Why did you describe the pivotal moment of Bella's change as a nonaction sequence, taking place only in her head as she lies stiff as Snow White, in a suspended state?

  • 9

Do you feel a "responsibility" to your (passionate!) fans as you write, or do you find it more important to listen to your characters and to your own heart?

  • 10

My 13 year old daughter, Molly, claims your books "rock." Perhaps I am a sceptic, but please tell me what you think a 48 year old man might enjoy about your stories?

  • 11

The ending to Breaking Dawn leaves a lot open for Jacob and Nessie's future relationship. Would you consider making a spinoff series for them?

  • 12

Where do you plan to go from here?

  • 13

If you had more time, what would you change about Breaking Dawn? Would you change anything after hearing reader responses?

  • 14

What would happen if Jacob and Renesmee ever tried to have kids?

  • 15

Has your newfound fame strained relationships with your family and friends?

  • 16

    good week

Why end this fantastic series? I (and everyone I know who has read them) crave for more of these books. They are amazing. But one thing I gotta ask... Why Renesmee's nickname, Nessie?

  • 19

Is there any possiblity that there shall be another book in the Twilight series? How do you handle your three kids and husband in midst of writting for a now eager public?

  • 20

How would you recommend someone go about publishing a book he or she has written? And, :) How much tithing?!?!

  • 21

Stephenie, I was wondering about the combs Bella's parents gave her in BD. Why did they have to be old and blue? PS- I loved Breaking Dawn!

  • 22

When you wrote New Moon, knowing it would be published, did you anticipate such a strong Jacob/Edward fan break or were the teams a surprise to you?

  • 23

Miss Meyer, I understand that you have gained an enormous amount of popularity through your Twilight series. As someone who wishes to make it to publishing one of her own novels, I can understand that popularity does equal money.

Allow me to ask you a few questions in the truest literary sense.
    1) Are you aware that your main character in the Twilight series are Mary/Gary-Sues? If so, was that intentional?
    2) I do not completely understand the basis of Bella's and Edward's relationship. Care to elaborate?

  • 24

I read that you mentioned you came up with the story for Twilight via a dream you had one night. Going from there, how did you come up with the characters for your story? Are the characters you wrote about based on any real life people? Did anyone in your life influence the personalities of the characters?

What do you think makes your writing attract the attention that it gets?
