Ask Giorgio Armani

Italian design giant Giorgio Armani founded his Milan-based company in 1974. He has dressed nearly every major film star, from Richard Gere to Julia Roberts to Michelle Pfeiffer to George Clooney. Today, he oversees an empire of menswear, womenswear, accessories, jeans, home furnishings, fragrances, eyeglasses, and even kitchen sinks, with an annual turnover of $1.6 billion. On the eve of the opening of his new Fifth Avenue megastore, Armani told Women's Wear Daily that he has “lived through many different economic climates and what I have learned is that the economy, like fashion, works in cycles and so this downturn will end at some point.” Mr. Armani will now take your questions.
