This is your second film with Julia Roberts. Is there a mutual attraction?

Dear Mr. Owen,
As an MBA student, I learned of your short films for BMW. My son and I especially enjoyed "Ticker". What drew you to this sort of innovative advertising?
Sincerely,
Elmar and Roland Kapfer -

You've said that your daughters were pressuring you to make a kid's movie . Have they already any idea on the kind of character they would like you to play ?
-
4
What's up?

5
Chunky, what did I tell you about silly posts?

6
Clive, I've admired your work since Croupier. I'm wondering why you chose to play the role of Larry in the film version of 'Closer' after playing Dan on the stage. Thanks.

You have been quoted to say: "I don't 'do' emotion. Emotions are overrated. I'm more interested in creating a presence."
Is 'emotion' one of the things you try to avoid in a film? If so why does 'presence' stand higher ground in your acting? Intensity over vulnerability?

8
There were several difference between the play Closer and the movie, especially in the character Alice and the ending. What was the thinking behind the changes going from stag to screenplay?
-
9
Of all the characters you've been, who have you related to the most? Which was your favorite?
-
10
You have starred in Sin City, Shoot em up, The Inside Man and etc; all action movies. Do you consider yourself to be an "action star" in the lines of Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham?
-
11
do you find the majority of your fans to be men or women? my boyfriend has a man-crush on you, as do a number of my other male friends.
PS - I would've never seen Shoot 'Em Up if it weren't for the fact you were in it and said boyfriend insisted I watch!

12
Given the variety of films you have been in, what moves you to choose certain roles? What are your criteria to decide yes I want to portray this person or that character?
-
13
What do you consider your "big break" in acting?
-
14
Is there a role you didn't get that you wish you would've, or vice versa?

When will The Boys Are Back In Town be released? What is the next film you will be in after that?

Dear Mr. Owen,
I just wanted to say that I beleive your best role yet has been the one in the film "Closer." I think it was a brilliant performance on your part (as well as the entire cast). I would very much like to see you play more of those types of characters in the future. I also enjoy when you perform in period pieces, such as Elizabeth the golden Years, you have an intoxicating presence & voice.
I truly look forward to seeing you on "the big screen!"
Sincerely,
Anna Smith

Hello Clive,
I haven't had a crush on a leadiing man since I don't know when. On the screen you come across as a rugged, take no prisoners type of guy. Are you like the characters you play in real life? Also, if you don't mind, what do you admire or find attractive in the opposite sex?Forgive me all the personal questions, however this is probably my only chance to have them remotely answered.
Thank you, best wishes and God's blessings.

Hi! My name is Pierre-Henri GAYTE and I'm a drama student in Paris.
In the upcoming "Duplicity", you play a former MI6 agent. When Casino Royale was announced, you were one of the actors considered to play James Bond. Did you turn down the part or were you not asked to do it? Because I think you would have been a perfect 007! Thanks and I wish you a big success with "Duplicty" and the european release of "The International" -

Clive: Is anything further happening with the Phillip Marlowe movie that it was reported you were developing and probably starring in the same? Thanks.

Whether you're shooting a film or doing live theater, and you're in a scene where you have to be particularly vulnerable, do you ever have difficulty accessing your emotions? If so, what do you do and how do you pull through? - Kate/ los angeles, ca
