(Please excuse a previously uneditied version of this question)

Question for Bobby Jindal/Time Magazine

Mr. Jindal,

When you ran for Governor of Louisiana, you refused to meet with the Louisiana League for Equality and its members due to their sexual orientation. I was the Chairperson of the Louisiana League for Equality and spoke to you personally about the meeting, which you refused to hold.

The Louisiana League for Equality is composed of primarily gay and lesbian representatives from cities across Louisiana. How do you justify running for the highest elective office in Louisiana and not meeting with taxpaying Louisiana (and American) citizens because of their sexual orientation? Is this not an act of bigotry?

Thanks,

Joe Traigle
Former Secretary of Revenue for Louisiana
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Is it just me; or do the "non-southerners" sound like a broken record? Yes, are statistics are quite sad as far as crime rates, teen pregnancies, drop-outs, etc. Truth be known, it is not the government's fault. We have great teachers and programs in the school system. We have accredited colleges; numerous scholarships, an unfair, broken welfare system to benefit the poor and/or the lazy. We have the "no child left behind" act, free clinics that offers free medical assistance, and so on.

The government and the people have done everything in its power to change the unfortuante statistics, and there is only so much we can do. The assistance, money, and time we shell out for the uneducated and less fortuante is quite ridiculous and a waste simply because it is not working. God bless the few it does work for; but the fact is, we live amongst a bunch of leeches who wants to live it easy off of free handouts and who could care less about their education. They depend too much on the government and working class people, instead of themselves.

If anything we have messed up on, it is the fact we have been enabling these people, not helping them!

Mr. Jindal, if you do run for office in 2012, I hope you have a well-grounded stimulus plan to fix our broken welfare system. It is time we help our fellow Americans, instead of enabling them. We must seek a change, or else this "leech" trend will continue for many more generations to come.

Mr. Jindal-

How do you plan on bringing the GOP back to it's conservative roots? And even more so, how do you plan on educating America on these conservative beliefs and why they work? I find that the young republican numbers are declining. Being swooned by the media, glitz, Hollywood and "hope." How come I can't find and GOP leaders educating this group on the fundamentals?

Respectfully,
28 Young Republican
