Larry, I just want to thank you for being in my life in the early times. We had one forgettable date in the 1950s, when you were on radio at WAHR and I was on television at WTVJ with "Skipper" Chuck Zink on "Popeye Playhouse" (1957-58). We were introduced by salesman Frank Boscia who thought we might have some things in common. We were both of Jewish background and you are five years older than me.
Skip forward to the summer of 1971. I was driving from Miami Beach to my home in Opa Locka in the early morning hours. You called out for someone to bring you donuts and coffee. I appeared in the studio, and although you didn't remember me from our brief encounter earlier, you asked me to start screening your calls.
Somewhere along the way, a listener re-named me "Ellen Rainbow" which was just a few letters added to my ex-husband's name. You kept me busy, smiling, and laughing for all of those difficult months, when I had to support myself, two small children, and a dog. I supplied you with hour-long "woman in the mall" cassette tapes when you started to fall asleep at the microphone.
A few days before Christmas, you were gone -- caught in a legal tangle that I didn't understand. I have never seen you from that day to this.
"Biggie" Nevins gave me your show a few mornings a week while they looked for a male host. He paid me $50 each night I worked. I might have ended up who knows where if I didn't get that income.
In the first few months of 1972, I was heard on Boston's WEEI by the early morning host there, Bruce Lee (No, not THAT Bruce Lee). The station flew me to Massachusetts for a marathon interview on April 28, 1972. I was offered the job and on May 15, I started a brand new gig as the first woman with a daily, four-hour, call-in program in Boston. I met a widower with three children that summer, and we married on February 4, 1973. We will celebrate 37 years of marriage in 2010.
Thanks for all your encouragement and for helping me live "My Improbable Life."
Sincerely,
Ellen Kimball (Radio_Lady)

Hello Larry, You've interviewed several people of varying faith worldviews. All cannot be true since many vary on their fundamentals: Like the Christian says “Jesus is the only way to God”, the Atheist says “There isn't a God”, the pluralist perhaps say “Both the Christian and Atheist are wrong and in fact all ways lead to God” (which is the pluralists fundamental worldview) and so on.
Outside of the studio, in the silence of your home, have you been deeply moved or been strongly inclined to believe in any particular worldview, after the dialogues you've had? Have you ever seriously considered adopting a worldview as your own? Perhaps become a Christian, a Hindu, an atheist, or agnostic or what might you?
If you have, what is it? TJ

Larry, what you have done to TV interviewing no one else can do in a hundred lifetimes, just know that many of us are your students all over the globe, the young and old alike. I'm just wondering what would you have done in this situation: You are about to interview Osama bin Laden LIVE from his hiding spot in Afghanistan, he's strapped with bombs all over his body and an AK at his side, there is no American security around except for your civilian camera man; after the count for the interview to go live, Osama produces a list of questions at gunpoint and orders you to interview him based on those questions, his first question being "Would you kill someone LIVE on international TV?. He then proceeds to shoot one of your TV crew's assistant and tells you "Do as I say oldman, you know what am capable of". What would you have done?

24
If you could pick one person in history to interview, who would it be?
-

What is the one question you'd never ask your guests on the show?
